This page is available as a sample Shutdowns & Meltdowns: Climbing the Ladder to Regulation Together program lesson. The class includes 11 lessons and will be available on the Learn site in late April 2024.
Each topic lesson provides detailed subject information. All of the lessons begin with a video discussion by Dr. Ally Burr-Harris. Content in the lessons varies and may include video demonstrations and handouts. Every module is different based on the subject and available materials.

Dysregulation
abnormality or impairment in the regulation of a metabolic, physiological, or psychological process.
Parents need to recognize the signs of dysregulation in their children. This lesson will discuss the signs and possible approaches to address the dysregulation, including polyvagal theory, zones of regulation and states of regulation.
